AUDREY NUNA Announces Sophomore LP, 'TRENCH'
Kicking off the rollout with new single “Mine.”
When AUDREY NUNA sat down with Hypebeast earlier this year, she told us she was in her “soft skin, hard feelings” era, and that her imminent sophomore studio project – which remained unannounced at the time – would encapsulate that duality. NUNA has just gone public with the news, officially anouncing her sophomore LP, which is entitled TRENCH and comes fronted by a new single dubbed “Mine.”
On TRENCH, NUNA will continue to embody the bionic hero persona she’s established for herself over the recent year, on standalone singles “Suckin Up,” “Jokes on Me” and “Starving,” asserting herself as this duality-drenched otherworldly figure who is both “armored and undaunted, but also embraces vulnerability as her greatest strength,” a press release indicates.
TRENCH arrives about three-and-a-half years after NUNA’s acclaimed studio debut, a liquid breakfast.
“I don’t want to follow a certain trajectory,” NUNA says of this next era of her artistry. “I’m just trying to follow my curiosity.”
Stream the album’s first official single, “Mine,” on all DSPs now, and expect TRENCH to drop everywhere on Friday, October 18.
