Audemars Piguet's New Royal Oak Concept Timepiece Premieres a CFT Forged Carbon Material
Arriving in a deep black imbued with blue luminiscent pigments.

In broadening its Royal Oak Concept series, Audemars Piguet has revealed a new Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date model.
Boasting a case diameter of 43 mm, the timepiece premieres the Maison’s brand-new colored forged carbon material, which has been developed using the Chroma Forged Technology (CFT). Arriving in a deep black imbued with blue luminescent pigments, the case creates a visually mesmerizing contrast that interplays with the solid tones against its openworked dial. Echoing the touches of electric blue, the inner bezel, subcounters and rubber strap arrives in a vibrant hue, while a black ceramic bezel with AP’s signature screws is sandwiched in between.
This reference is highly complex on a technical front, as it’s geared with a flyback chronograph, split-seconds chronograph, 24 hour GMT, hours, minutes, small seconds and large date functions. All of this is powered by AP’s self-winding Calibre 4407, beating at 28,800 vibrations every hour, complete with 70 hours of continuous running time.
The Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date has a price tag of $206,800 USD and is now open for inquiry through Audemars Piguet.
