Period Correct Unveils Porsche Inspired Carrera Collection
Featuring everything from caps to footwear.
Period Correct has unveiled its latest automotive-inspired lifestyle collection, following the success of its recently released Outlander Collection. The latest from the brand is the “Carrera Collection,” inspired by various Porsche models including the Carrera GT and of course the iconic 911.
The new collection taps into the bold and sporty energy of mid to late-model Carreras, with a streetwear aesthetic that features in-your-face graphic fonts that could be a nod to the type of lettering commonly found on the liveries of Cup Cars. That being said, the collection also offers a balance of comfort and luxury often associated with the Porsche brand — this is found in items like suede slippers and a suede-finished tote bag with leather handles.
Other items in the collection include graphic tees, a black hoodie with “CARRERA” printed across the front in neo-vintage lettering, a cap with the same bold lettering and a woven blanket that features several 911 race cars fighting for position in a track environment. Overall, the collection features very minimal use of color, however, accents of dark blue and green can be found in some items.
The full Carrera Collection is available now via Period Correct’s website and will be available at its “Pitstop” cars & coffee event this Saturday, September 21 in Costa Mesa, from 7:00 to 9:00 am PST.
