Ye x Ty Dolla $ign Serve Up "SLIDE" Music Video
Following up last week’s “FRIED” visual.
As VULTURES 2 begins to sink into the mainstream soundscape, racking in reviews and ratings from publications and listeners alike, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign continue to roll out visuals and supplementary tracks for the album. After releasing the “FRIED” music video last week, the duo has now dropped off the official visual for the album’s opening cut “SLIDE.”
Directed by Ye and Aus Taylor, the “SLIDE” video, per Taylor, is “a portrait of the blade” – a one-take, side-angled, black-and-white visual that pans down a dark street. It was shot entirely with 4-Perf 35 mm film.
“We gon’ paint the city red, it’s tie-dye, ask Ty (Get up) / Addicted to the nightlife, jumpin’ off a jet, skydive / Your life a movie, mine a sci-fi (Get up) / Told her friends she a ten, I lied / Really, she in the high fives (Get up),” delivers Ye on the second verse.
