Hodinkee Reunites With TAG Heuer for a Carrera Seafarer Limited Edition
Marking the two companies’ third collaboration.
After releasing a limited-edition Chronograph 1 with Porsche Design last month, Hodinkee has returned with its latest timepiece collaboration. This time, the watch platform reunites with TAG Heuer for the third time to unveil an exclusive Carrera Chronograph Seafarer model.
Paying homage to TAG Heuer’s history, the timepiece features a design that nods to the line of Seafarer models that was produced for Abercrombie & Fitch from the ‘50s -‘70s. Many of the originals’ dial designs and features have been kept, with its color schemes referencing a specific model from 1968.
Attired in a 42mm-wide Carrera “Glassbox” watch case, the slick black opaline dial creates a stark visual contrast with its subdials, which are decorated with sky and royal blue Regatta and Tide indications. At its core, the in-house TH20-13 tide indicator chronograph caliber powers the piece for up to 80 hours of continuous running time, complete with 10 ATM of water resistance. The time-teller is accompanied by an integrated black rubber strap.
In commemoration of the year that Here first debuted the 2446C Seafarer, this limited-edition will be released in a run of 968 examples only, each retailing for $7,950 USD. Among that, 125 units will be allocated to the Hodinkee Shop, while the remaining will be available to purchase through TAG Heuer’s boutiques and ADs.
