Panerai Unveils Two New Masterpieces At Watches & Wonders Shanghai
Namely the Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT Ceramica and Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech.
At Watches & Wonders Shanghai 2024, Panerai has demonstrated its expertise in blending traditional heritage with modern innovation. The brand introduced two new timepieces that exemplify its commitment to craftsmanship, durability and cutting-edge design: the Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT Ceramica PAM01483 and the Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech PAM01563.
The Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT Ceramica PAM01483 is a striking addition to the Luminor Complicazioni collection. With a 44mm black ceramic case, this watch is a tribute to Panerai’s history of crafting robust, reliable timepieces for the Italian Navy. The watch features the P.2003 calibre, an automatic movement that offers a 10-day power reserve, displayed prominently on the green sun-brushed dial. This movement is a testament to Panerai’s long-standing expertise in creating timepieces with extended power reserves, a legacy that dates back to the 1960s. From a design standpoint, the watch features a black ceramic case and green dial, complemented by a sapphire crystal dome that enhances visibility and readability.
On the other hand, the Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech PAM01563 pays homage to Panerai’s deep connection with the maritime world, particularly its partnership with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team. Limited to just 37 pieces, this 42mm watch features a case, bezel and crown-protecting bridge made from Carbotech, a material known for its lightweight strength and resistance to wear and corrosion. The watch is powered by the P.900 calibre, an automatic movement with a 3-day power reserve. Designed for extreme conditions, the Submersible Luna Rossa Carbotech is water-resistant up to 50 bar (~500 meters), making it a reliable companion for underwater exploration.
Both timepieces showcase Panerai’s dedication to blending form and function, offering collectors and enthusiasts watches that are not only technical marvels but also stylish accessories. At the time of writing, pricing for the watches has not yet been announced.
