Ryan Reynolds Reveals New 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Deleted Scene Teasing More of Channing Tatum's Gambit
Teasing more is to come with “Marvel spark circles.”
Marvel fans are in for another treat with Ryan Reynolds‘ recent Instagram post. Taking to social media, he debuted a new deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine that seemingly confirms the Channing Tatum‘s Gambit survived the fight sequence in the Void. Not only does he survive, but he is able to make it out of the wasteland through an inter-dimensional portal that has opened and seen in the reflection of Gambit’s eyes.
Just like how Reynolds captioned the post, these portals are what Deadpool calls “Marvel spark circles” in the film. They allow Marvel characters to hop through the universe and it appears that Tatum’s Gambit has found one that has allowed him to return to his home universe or elsewhere in the multiverse. In the past, Tatum has been vocal about wanting to bring Gambit into the MCU. Recently on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Tatum explained that he had pitched Gambit to Kevin Feige and that it was well-received. However, Feige has also expressed that he is uncertain how it fits in just yet. While it is not confirmed if Tatum will return to the MCU, this is the closest to a confirmation yet.
Tatum was a major surprise cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. He appeared alongside Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Wesley Snipes’ Blade and Chris Evans’ Johnny Storm. After years of trying to get Gambit a movie, Tatum has finally realized a part of his dreams. When the film broke box office records, Tatum shared a heartfelt message to Reynolds, “I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But [Reynolds] fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me. I love ya buddy…I’m so grateful to be in this movie.” Watch the deleted scene below.
