Notes: Nike is reviving its Shox line with a fresh twist, tapping into the Y2K sneaker trend while introducing the iconic silhouette to a new generation. The latest iteration, part of Nike’s “Design By” program, showcases Korean-inspired elements that set it apart from its predecessors.
The Shox R4 “Design By Korea” features a striking blend of traditional and modern design elements. The upper, predominantly crafted in suede, a first for the Shox R4, offers a luxurious touch with its chalked edges, evoking a vintage aesthetic. Sail leather adorns the sidewalls, complemented by an attention-grabbing oversized Swoosh.
While the upper maintains an understated monochrome palette, the sole unit steals the spotlight. The distinctive Shox cushioning chambers are rendered in eye-catching gold, accented with blue and red hues that pay homage to the South Korean flag.
