Mach-Hommy Fronts Aimé Leon Dore FW24
A striking selection of seasonal garments, complete with plenty of GORE-TEX.
Update: After yesterday’s preview, Aimé Leon Dore has revealed its full Fall/Winter 2024 collection fronted by the ever-so-elusive Mach-Hommy.
The Newark rapper flexes Aimé’s new range of seasonal goods in the collection’s lookbook – all of which he pairs with his signature face covering. An earth-toned dual-zipper leather jacket leads the pack, imbued with a skeletal ribcage design in the middle.
A bevy of jackets stands out as well, with other silhouettes including a tracksuit-type jacket (equipped with a set of matching pants as well), two floor-length trench coats and, the collection’s staple piece: an Aimé Leon Dore x GORE-TEX puffer.
This is the piece that Mach rocks in yesterday’s teaser; engulfed in a vibrant red hue, the jacket sees a co-branded patch on the sleeve but otherwise, remains minimal in branding. A GORE-TEX hat is also included in the selection of headwear options.
Revisit yesterday’s clip in the original story below and expect Aimé Leon Dore’s first Fall/Winter 2024 collection to drop this Friday at 11 a.m. EST exclusively at ALD’s official webstore and brick-and-mortar locations.
Original Story: It’s rare we find Mach-Hommy seeking out the spotlight, as the enigmatic East Coast artist often shies away from drawing attention to himself, preferring to lock in on his music behind closed doors. However, if the New Jersey-born Haitian rapper is going to show out, it’s going to in be an authentic display of his artistry – so it’s only right that fellow Mach put his best puffer on and team up with fellow New York imprint Aimé Leon Dore.
Donning a bright red GORE-TEX puffer and his signature face covering, the rapper stars in ALD’s latest teaser. While the nature of the partnership remains unclear, Mach-Hommy delivers some words of wisdom to the camera in the new clip.
“From Essex County to Caldwell … Razors in my Air Max, Green street is dark and hell is hot. Saturday morning in Delaney Hall we break fast,” he begins.
“Run like so-and-so with the white such and such. Ain’t no pulling over … .45 in my GORE-TEX … Where you from? I used to be a memorizer. Now I make you remember.”
