Kid Cudi and Travis Scott‘s THE SCOTTS project has been officially scrapped, as confirmed by Cudi.

“That ship came and went, my friend. Let’s move on. So much more to see and hear,” Cudder wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) in response to another user’s question.

He broke the news as part of a casual pre-flight Q&A on X, also revealing an update on his latest album – “I pushed things back a bit … So the plan is, 1st single on my birthday and the album in the summer. I rarely drop summer albums, and this next one is all summer vibes so be ready,” – and that he’s hoping for more Ye collabs down the line.

The collaborative offering has been one of the most sought-after joint offerings in the rap space since the duo unleashed “THE SCOTTS” in April 2020. That August, Cudi confirmed in an interview that he and Scott had been cooking up a full-length THE SCOTTS project to follow up the success of the single.

While Scott has yet to confirm the cancellation of the project, stay tuned to Hypebeast as more information transpires.
