All-American, Gatorade National Player of the Year, Naismith Player of the Year and 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team star Cooper Flagg is a name the basketball world is already getting used to seeing. The incredible two-way prospect is set to make his college basketball debut this year, leading a stacked roster over at Duke University.

In anticipation of the exciting season to come, Flagg has just signed with New Balance. The American sportswear brand already boasts professional basketball talent with the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Jamal Murray, Zach LaVine, Cameron Brink and more, and continues to expand its roster by adding the 6-foot-9 phenom. Having grown up in Newport, Maine, Flagg has a close connection to the New England-based brand, which involved gearing up for school years by traveling 25 miles to the annual New Balance Skowhegan tent sale.

“I grew up wearing New Balance, and I appreciate their authentic connection to my community. The focus and growth of the brand in basketball and our shared values and history drew me in. From day one, it was clear that this would be a family-like partnership. I’m so excited to join this family and help them grow the category with young athletes,” shares Flagg. New Balance notes that Flagg will play a prominent role in its basketball marketing campaigns, as well as contribute to lifestyle extensions and community initiatives.

Stay tuned for updates regarding the new duo as, with his promising trajectory, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Flagg ends up with his own signature shoe within the next few years.
