The felt fedora worn by Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom has fetched $630,000 USD at auction. The hat was originally made specifically for 1984’s Temple of Doom by London’s Herbert Johnson Hat Company.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and based on a story by George Lucas, the fedora is first spotted as Jones survives a murder attempt by escaping from an airplane via an inflatable raft. The fedora was also worn during filming by Ford’s stunt double, Dean Ferrandini.

The hat remained in Dean Ferrandini’s personal collection and was sold last year upon his passing.

Hosted in Los Angeles on Thursday by auction house Propstore, the fedora’s final $630,000 USD bid was more than double the fetching price for a different Temple of Doom fedora that was auctioned for $300,000 USD in 2021.

Other items in the auction included a helmet from 1983’s Return of the Jedi and a wand used by Daniel Radcliffe in 2004’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
