Fred again.. Announces Fourth Solo Album ‘ten days’
Skrillex, Four Tet, Anderson .Paak and more are contributing to the project.
Fred again.. will be following up his Actual Life trilogy with a new studio album entitled ten days. In 2020, 2021 and 2022, the British DJ released a new album each year, compiling tracks made during a certain period of his life.
He returned in 2023 with a collaborative album with Brian Eno, Secret Life. ten days is an expansion of Fred’s focus on time-specific work.
“My new record is called ten days,” Fred said. “It’s ten songs about ten days. There has been a lot of biggg mad crazy moments in the last year but basically all of these are about really very small quiet intimate moments.”
On the project, the DJ will link up with collaborators new and old. Contributions come from the likes of Obongjayar, Sampha, SOAK, Anderson .PAAK, CHIKA, Duskus, Four Tet and Skrillex, the latter of whom he joined onstage at Coachella last year. He’ll also team up with Jozzy, Jim Legxacy, Joy Anonymous, Emmy Lou Harris, The Japanese House and Scott Hardkiss.
Over the weekend, Fred also put out a radio set that he recorded live alongside his friends and family in London last year.
Fred again..’s ten days is out for streaming on September 6.
