Greek football imprint Athens Kallithea FC is among the most stylish in the game, with distinctive kits that riff on signature ’90s looks and deservedly stake their own claim in streetwear. Building on its ever-expanding lineup of navy-white jerseys, the label has just revealed its all-new 24/25 home shirt, which is slated to debut on the pitch later this month when the club returns to Greece’s top division for the first time in 18 years.

Under the creative jurisdiction of brand president Ted Philipakos, the same brain behind Venezia FC, Athens Kallithea’s latest designs build on the club’s classic, adored codes but with a more refined finish.

“Last season’s home shirt is one of my favorites that we’ve worked on over the years, but we wanted to pivot to a less sporty and more elegant look this season,” said Philipakos. “I think the shirt is a testament to the power of restraint and subtlety when it’s well considered, and how it can allow distinctive color to be the protagonist.”

Like usual, the shirt features the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens’s ΕΜΣΤ iconography in its center, with a traditional collar, luxe debossed lines and a blue-on-blue color scheme.

The 24/25 AKFC home shirt arrives with its own video campaign, a 1960s-inspired short 16mm film titled Hold Me Close to You. Set on the historic island of Spetses, the film stars Theopisti Pourliotopoulou, a familiar face for those who remember Philipakos’ campaigns for Venezia FC.

“As our club was founded in 1966, we’ve often referenced the 1960s, and this happens to be a golden era of Greek cinema, so we wanted to tap into that,” said Philipakos. “In this case, I was inspired by Tzeni Vanou’s ‘Krata Me Konta Sou,’ it was a mood that I wanted to explore and reinterpret. Nostalgia has been a core theme in my work, from Venezia FC to Athens Kallithea FC.”

The 24/25 AKFC home shirt is now available to shop on the club’s webstore. Take a look at the design, and its accompanying campaign, above.
