Diptyque Explores Nature’s Overlooked Treasures with New Fragrance Collection
Debuting a reinvented bottle design.
Diptyque has unveiled a new chapter in its olfactory odyssey with five new Eau de Parfums, each inspired by nature’s various treasures that are often overlooked. The new fragrances, Corail Oscuro, Lunamaris, Bois Corsé, Lilyphéa and Rose Roche, form the new Les Essences de Diptyque collection.
Drawing inspiration from corals, the Corail Oscuro scent presents a captivating blend of floral and mineral aromas that accompany a dominant mandarin note. Powered by rockrose, Lunamaris presents a warm, comforting yet spicy scent that’s evocative of the bewitching shimmer of mother-of-pearls. Bois Corsé is a full-bodied fragrance imbued with a woody and ambery scent. Infused with sandalwood and coffee-like aromas, the perfume draws its inspiration from winding trails of the forest to embody the strength and resilience of barks.
Capturing the scenic poeticism of water lilies in impressionist paintings, Lilyphéa’s graceful scent stars sweet Madagascan vanilla, enveloped in a gentle embrace with warm, green notes. Featuring a stimulating mix of Sicilian and Calabrian lemon notes, Rose Roche crafts a radiant scent inspired by the desert rose. Intriguing to the senses, this Eau de Parfum comes complete with an illuminating blend of floral and citrus notes.
For a long time, Diptyque’s ovoid bottles have become as emblematic as their oval-shaped labels. But with the new Les Essences de Diptyque collection, the Maison has reinvented its signature perfume bottle. Coming in an archetypal and contemporary form, the new bottle design appears rectangular when viewed from the front. From a bird’s eye view, the bottle is revealed with rounded edges, capped with a black spherical stopper.
The Les Essences de Diptyque collection will be available to shop through Diptyque’s boutiques and website starting September 3. The individual fragrances will come in 100ml sizes, retailing for $2,500 HKD (approx. $320). In addition, a Discovery set consisting of all five scents in 10ml bottles will also be purchaseable for $1,600 HKD (around $205 USD).
