A$AP Rocky Officially Releases Previously-Leaked Track "Tailor Swif"
The cut was known earlier as “Wetty” and was debuted live in 2022.
With the delay of his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, A$AP Rocky is tiding fans over with the release of the fan-favorite cut “Tailor Swif.”
Previously known to fans as “Wetty,” the icatchy Hitkidd-produced track has nothing to do with Taylor Swift but does feature a little play on her name in the chorus as Rocky raps, “I’m too swift / don’t tell Taylor ’bout this sh*t / Go to my tailor / Got me dripped up in the district.”
“Tailor Swif” was first debuted live during Rocky’s set at Rolling Loud Portugal in 2022 and unfortunately experienced a leak in the days following. Its addition to Don’t Be Dumb is a surprising move from the artist after he previously told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that he will not include any leaked tracks on his album. ”I think anything that makes it on the project is just like kind of, it’s like a catalyst to your story, right? It kind of advocates with whatever story you’re trying to tell, and I think that it’s very important and special if it makes it on the album,” he said. “Most of the songs that I usually be performing and sh*t like that, motherf*ckers leak it and once it’s leaked, it’s just like, ‘Nah, it’s not on the project’…I might perform it here and there, but it’s just like, nah, it’s leaked. It is what it is. It’s out already.”
