Allday Goods x Outsiders Store Launch Pocket Knife Made From Reclaimed Plastic
A design inspired by the Japanese Higonokami knife.
British kitchen knife maker Allday Goods has released a new pocket knife in partnership with the retailer Outsiders Store. Known for its sustainable work in transforming plastic waste into knives, the brand’s latest model features a bright green imbued with yellow hues.
Allday Goods and Outsiders Store were inspired by the Japanese Higonokami knife, a form of pocket knife that emerged in the late 1890s. The brands say their knife is, per usual, made out of reclaimed materials and “good to use for everything from foraging to cutting rope.”
Made locally in England, the handle is branded with the Allday Goods and Outsiders Store logos and the knife comes in a playful box adorned with scribbly drawings.
“We wanted to create a knife suitable for the outdoors. A folding knife that you’ll always have in your pocket whether you’re climbing, foraging, camping or gardening,” Allday Goods founder Hugo Worsley said. “We couldn’t think of a better company to work with on this than Outsiders Store.”
The knife will launch on Saturday, September 28, during a celebratory event at the at the Outsiders Store in Kings Cross, London, where the space will also be selling special edition T-shirts and water bottles and hosting a live knife forging demonstration.
