Sasquatchfabrix. Layers Influences for FW24
With outerwear leading the charge.
Since its 2003 founding, Sasquatchfabrix. has been working to underscore the current of fusing Japanese-style sentiments with those of the world. Led by Daisuke Yokoyama and Katsuki Araki, the Japanese designers have aptly been crafting the brand’s design persona that remains both expansive and true to its core values. In expanding its cadence, the brand has now revealed its new Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
Yokoyama and Araki offer a plate of layered influences for the new offering. While traditional Japanese style remains at the core, the designers also input notes of Western influence and contemporary style notes. The traditional comes in with quilted Kimono-style jackets alongside dragon-adorning velour track jackets. But across the lot, jackets remain as a core collection driver as the pieces span both classic and contemporary styles – featuring leather jackets, bombers, oversized puffers, lightweight plaid jackets, geometric fleece pieces and workwear cuts.
But out of the lot, one of the key items is a button-down leather jacket in collaboration with Avirex that boasts an all-over dragon detail alongside the Avirex name in an accompanying script. The entire piece is finished off in classic shades of black and white. Aside from outerwear, the collection also features knitwear, printed pants, pleated pants, wide-leg pants and more.
