AI was ubiquitous in Samsung‘s latest Galaxy Unpacked event, where the company revealed its upcoming fleet of mobile products.

Leading the charge was the $399 USD Galaxy Ring, which was previously demoed at the 2024 Mobile World Conference. The smart ring appears to function similarly to the Oura Ring. Its predominant focus is health tech – gathering personal data about the user to allow them to track metrics such as heart rate and sleep cycles. Samsung’s version weighs between 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams depending on the size, is waterproof and offers 7 days of battery life on a single charge. The ring also comes in silver, black and gold colorways, all of which are constructed out of titanium.

Elsewhere in the wearables department, Samsung has continued to build out its watch lineup with the new $299 USD Galaxy Watch7 and $649 USD Galaxy Watch Ultra. Like the ring, the Watch7 is largely being marketed to health enthusiasts with new AI-powered health and workout apps. The Race app lets runners compare their current and past performances with real-time tracking, while an “enhanced BioActive Sensor” serves to measure advanced glycation end products (AGEs), a reflection of an individual’s “overall biological aging process and provide an indication of metabolic health.”

The Watch7 comes in 40mm and 44mm size options but for those seeking a larger – and more durable – unit, the Ultra is a 47mm outdoors watch made out of Titanium Grade 4. The Ultra is billed as capable of functioning from “500 meters below sea level to 9,000 meters high.” It also offers an emergency siren and a special night mode.

On the phone front, Samsung unveiled two new additions to the Galaxy Z series, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6. True to its name, the Fold6 opens like a book to reveal a large interior screen designed for working on the go. AI features assist in the task with built-in voice-to-text transcription and a sketch-to-image tool. The Flip6 opens vertically, dividing the screen into two squares. Users can also orient the phone to use a single screen while the other acts as a stand to prop the device up. The company described the Flip6 as “optimized for portability” with each square screen measuring 3.4 inches. The Galaxy Z Fold6 starts at $1,899 USD and Galaxy Z Flip6 starts at $1,099 USD.

To pair with the new devices, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Buds3 series, consisting of a standard and a Pro version of the wireless earphones. Among the more impressive of the Buds’ features is the ability to turn on an Interpreter mode, in which the earphones will translate a foreign language directly into your ear. Samsung is charging $179 USD for the standard Buds3 and $249 USD for the Pro version.

All of Samsung’s new mobile products are open for pre-order now with general availability beginning on July 24.
