Ahead of the release of the latest installment in the Astro Bot franchise, Sony has unveiled a wireless controller depicting the titular robot.

The special edition of PlayStation’s DualSense wireless controller has been revamped with a white base and blue accents on the handles and buttons in the same color as Astro himself. The touchpad contains a pair of eyes, emulating Astro’s face.

Developed by Team Asobi, a subsidiary of PlayStation Studios, Astro Bot is a 3D platform-style adventure game. Users control Astro in his mission to rescue fellow bots across 50 planets, traveling between different galaxies on a ship called the Dual Speeder, modeled after a PlayStation controller.

Astro Bot follows 2020’s Astro’s Playroom, expanding the world of the game and introducing more unique abilities. A trailer for the game previews the colorful world and some of the friends and foes Astro will encounter on his journey.

Sony says that it’s increased the number of textures that players can feel on their DualSense controllers, corresponding to the surfaces Astro glides on, from sand to grass to water. Astro’s powers are also compatible with the controller’s haptic feedback.

Priced at $80 USD, the limited-edition Astro Bot DualSense controller launches on September 6, the same day as the game’s debut.
