OMEGA Pays Tribute to the Olympic Medals With a Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition Wristwatch
While its in-house movement nods to a vintage 30T2 timepiece.
As the official timekeeper for the Paris 2024 Olympics, OMEGA has been eagerly counting down to the Games with special watch releases. After the pearls-and-moonshine gold-clad Seamaster Diver and the two Speedmaster Chronoscope variants, the Swiss watch brand has now uncovered another reference that nods to the event.
Embodying gold, silver and bronze into its build, the OMEGA Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition is specially crafted to pay tribute to the iconic Olympic Games medals. Attired in a 39mm case composed of OMEGA’s very own Bronze Gold, an alloy that blends 37.5% gold with 50% copper, alongside palladiun, silver and gallium for a distinct look that isn’t as easily tarnished.
A Clous de Paris guilloché pattern adorns the Ag925 silver dial, while heritage-style branding, 18K Sedna™ Gold and PVD Bronze Gold-coated hands add to its vintage allure. The timepiece also draws inspiration from a classic OMEGA wristwatch from 1939 mechanically — its in-house Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926 is a modern interpretation of the vintage 30T2 that the original piece possesses.
Just like OMEGA’s other Paris Olympics special editions, this reference is stamped and forested with the Paris 2024 medallion, Olympic Rings and the Olympic Flames on the caseback. The timepiece is complete with a brown calf-leather strap that exudes a polished, sophisticated and retro appeal on the wrist.
The OMEGA Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition comes encased in a crisp white special presentation box that also features graphic imprints for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
