Russo Brothers Are Currently in Talks To Direct Two 'Avengers' Movies
The duo was responsible for the success of ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame.’
Marvel is keeping busy planning for the future and it looks like the famed Russo Brothers are going to be a part of it. Joe and Anthony Russo, the duo behind the stratospherically successful box office hits Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, are slated to be in talks to direct two new Avengers films.
According to Variety, the brothers are to make their return to the MCU with these two films, the brothers are now in early talks to direct the 2026 movie, originally titled as The Kang Dynasty and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars. Secret Wars is expected to conclude the Multiverse Saga within the MCU and will see both films connected to one another, similar to the two-party story seen with Infinity War and Endgame.
Since Daniel Cretton parted ways with Kang Dynasty last year, Marvel has been looking for new filmmakers to tackle the projects. It is said that Shawn Levy of Deadpool & Wolverine was offered the role to direct, but had turned it down. At this point, the status of the two films are still up in the air. It remains to be seen if the Russo Brothers will return.
