For Resort 2025, Sean McGirr’s Alexander McQueen reenvisioned the noble’s wardrobe with a rebellious flare, transforming classic formals with punkish touches, sharp tailoring and artful prints.

The collection opens with curvaceous maroon blazers, donning satin red lapels and concealing dramatic turtleneck sweaters that reach just above the jawline. Next, shirting, asymmetrical dresses and wide-legged pants don all-over prints of Velazquez’s Pope Innocent X portrait, and fur cover-ups drape over double-breasted coats.

Subverting classic schoolboy and schoolgirl ensembles, preppy sports coats and dress pants collide with avant-garde tops flaunting gargantuan proportions around the neck. Denim jackets are frozen in rounded shapes that accentuate the waist; as are black leather iterations, which pair nicely with short skirts in the same textile.

Checkered patterns take over long down jackets, which layer over more maroon-toned shirts and trousers with exaggerated cuts. Quarter-button sweaters are mainstays, with collars that fan out above the head, while casual rugby tops and cargo trousers lean into casual territory. In closing, McGirr decorates his latest McQueen offerings in crystal: Western-inspired bombers, form-fitting tops and glamorous evening gowns contribute to the line’s shimmering conclusion.
