Notes: After the release of the two Aimé Leon Dore-designed T500 sneakers sporting gray and navy accents, New Balance has readied a new in-line release for the classic tennis silhouette.
The now revived and refreshed archival model arrives in a “Sea Salt/Nori” makeover, predominantly doused in a light gray and accentuated with notes of cream and green. It lives up to the tennis aesthetics that the original 1982 model was known for but is updated with improved wearability and evergreen appeal that’s suited for sneaker wearers today.
Crafted from premium pigskin suede and nubuck, the upper is soft-to-touch and dressed in an understated “Sea Salt” hue. Meanwhile, the tongue comes in an off-white color that echoes the shoelaces in a tonal finish. PU midsole and footbed offset the sneaker with a solid insert of cream tone, while “Nori” green adds an invigorating touch to the shoe in the form of the heel tab.
