KAYTRANADA Expands His Universe on 'TIMELESS'
A captivating compilation of familiar and first-time sounds from the seasoned producer.
KAYTRANADA‘s aptly named TIMELESS is here at last. The multifaceted producer/rapper has dropped off his impressive solo studio effort, which continues to evolve and expand his dreamy sonic sees contributions from Don Toliver, Childish Gambino, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat and many others.
Spanning two disks and 21 tracks, the album also features PinkPantheress, Durand Bernarr, Lou Phelps, Charlotte Day Wilson, Ravyn Lenae, Dawn Richard and Tinashe. The diverse array of contributors allows KAYTRANADA to do a little bit of everything, mixing a magical melange of different melodies and tapping into pockets of production that he’s only teased before TIMELESS.
One of the album’s most anticipated cuts – “Witchy” with Childish Gambino – has also landed itself a music video already.
Previously released “Lover/Friend” with Rochelle Jordan also surfaces as the closing track for Disc 1.
Disc 2 also contains “Out of Luck” with Mariah The Scientist – she dropped off the cut on her To Be Eaten Alive LP last fall – and “Stuntin” with Channel Tres.
Timeless arrives five years after the producer’s critically acclaimed and Grammy-winning Bubba and just about a year after his KAYTRAMINÉ venture with Aminé.

“It felt more serious – more legit,” he added of the album on the Zane Lowe Show. “I was still having fun making TIMELESS, but making Bubba was another type of fun where I didn’t really take it seriously.”
