Cincoro’s Hypegolf Invitational Awards Ceremony Championed a New Frontier of Golf

This year’s Hypegolf Invitational held at Huntington Club in Los Angeles has officially concluded. Returning for its fourth year, the one-day activation rallied golfers from around the globe to compete in various putting contests, long-drive competitions and closest-to-the-pin challenges while enjoying the latest gear, fashion and footwear in the golf space. Cincoro was one of the many lifestyle brands to celebrate its rich sports legacy alongside the Hypegolf community, toasting to a new generation of players exploring golf’s intersection with fashion and culture.

Founded by Michael Jordan, Jeanie Buss, Wes Edens, Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck, Cincoro’s Gold Standard of tequila is born from a shared ethos to capture extraordinary moments in sports history. The recent news of Team Cincoro announces a new visionary lineup of investors joining Cincoro’s founding legacy, including 23-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams and MLB Hall of Fame Derek Jeter, among others. Cincoro’s presence at Hypegolf channeled this spirit of inclusivity, inviting players of all levels to embrace the game with newfound energy. 

Summer-ready cocktails made with the label’s portfolio of award-winning tequilas appeared at branded bar activations located at the front and back nine. Attendees enjoyed a full roster of apparel pop-ups, branded activations, live music and SoCal-inspired bites (burritos and stuffed quesadillas) by LA-based restaurant El Pollo Loco during the day. As teams wrapped up their rounds on the course, players relocated to Cincoro’s outdoor lounge area to socialize and wind down.

A ceremonial toast by Cincoro to Hypegolf’s diverse community of creatives kicked off the closing Awards Ceremony. Afterward, Malbon Golf’s Ryan Ruffels and Luke Garner, Lauren Henderson and Kenzie Storashenko were awarded the first place title of the 9-hole shotgun challenge and were each given a bottle of Cincoro Tequila. Sonny Kollet, professional golfer Hailey Ostrom, Gold Yeller and Monica Yu won G-SHOCK’s closest-to-the-pin challenge, each taking home new shock-resistant timepieces. COBRA PUMA Golf’s new DARKSPEED drivers were presented to actor Ross Butler and professional golfer Hailey Ostrom for winning the longest drive competition.

Since Hypegolf Invitational is a spirited celebration of golf’s evolving landscape, awards were also dedicated to players who served looks on the course. DJ and recording artist Chase Marchetti (also known by Rhêtorík) won the coveted title of Best Fit and were awarded Malbon Golf bags. Celebrating an expressive array of footwear, skater and Vice President of Marketing at Sole Technology Don Brown and James Yoon won the Best Kicks award. Sonic the Hedgehog was awarded an honorary Best Kicks award for his iconic, vibrant red sneakers.
