Draga & Aurel’s Tables Capture Color and Light With a Frosted Effect

Como-based creative duo, Draga & Aurel have always centered their crafts on the exploration of transparency through light and color. Recently at Milan Design Week, they unveiled their newest collection, Zen, at the Rossana Orlandi Gallery.
Made up of a large dining table and a trio of coffee tables, the collection continued Draga & Aurel’s experimental journey. Crafted from lucite, the pieces boast a frosted satin finish. Its sharp, geometric forms allude to an appeal of ice sculptures and otherworldy monuments.
Synonymous with their usual palettes, the Zen tables are colored with a dashing mix of refracting pastels and fluoro streaks that give off the illusion that they’re trapped within, thus adding an extra layer of magnetism to its ethereal mood.
