Take a First Look at A Ma Maniére’s Beachside Resort
Located in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
Across locations in Atlanta, Houston and Washington D.C. alongside continuous collaborations with Air Jordan, A Ma Maniére has remained a key contemporary purveyor of luxury style embedded in Black culture. But now The Whitaker Group’s key brand is expanding its reach with the reveal of its inaugural beachside resort.
Located in Folly Beach, South Carolina, A Ma Maniére Beach fuses elements of 5-star hospitality and accommodations with the design of luxury fashion houses. Inside, the three-story building features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which all include ocean views. Contrasting the lighter interior elements, the building’s exterior is cast in a deep brown/black natural shade.
But what also makes the inside standout is the founder James Whitner’s personal art collection which sees names like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kaws, Daniel Arsham and more. Aside from the design, a special detail of the resort is its Folly Beach location to reclaim the stories of discrimination against people of color that permeated the location.
