Late last month, Russ launched a platform where fans could vote for their favorite songs of his that hadn’t officially been released yet. Every few weeks, he plans to open a “campaign,” allowing them to pick what songs would make it onto streaming platforms.

During the last vote, fans gravitated towards the track “That’s My Girl.” Another song called “Tired” came in second. In a surprise twist, Russ has released both.

“That’s My Girl” is a bouncy rhythmic song, while “Tired” is a more classic rap track, although Russ literally starts every line of the song with the word “tired.”

“Tired of dealin’ with shit that I don’t wanna deal with, I’m tired of dealin’ with me / Tired that I’m makin’ all of this money and feelin’ like none of it’s comin’ to me,” he raps. “Tired of feelin’ confused and not knowin’ which way that I’m supposed to be goin’ in life / Tired of lookin’ around to see everyone else and it seems like they doin’ it right.”

In May, Russ will kick off his “It Was You All Along” North American Tour, beginning in Seattle and hitting major cities throughout the country.

Stream Russ’ new singles That’s My Girl” and “Tired” everywhere now.
