Hermès presented its home collection for 2024 during the most recent Milan Design Week. Stepping into a world of luxury, the collection pays homage to the brand’s heritage of craftsmanship. Drawing on signature motifs from the French house, the collection reveals essential home objects, timeless and evoking a powerful symbol of Hermès tropes.

Celebrating the natural textures and composition of raw materials like brick, stone, slate, wood and compacted earth, the home collection emphasizes its equestrian roots which include highlighting the jockey silk jersey. The jockey silk is decorated in colorful geometric motifs, a inspiration for the leather goods and textiles. Other pieces in the collection include buckets, baskets and table centerpieces woven in leather. Some essentials to highlight are the modernist lounge chair, the new Diapason d’Hermès, composed of two pieces of leather to form the seat and back and mounted on a hammered aluminium frame. Equestrian-inspired ethereal lamps as well as the opulent tableware from the Tressages Équestres further present the brand’s fine craftsmanship and excellence.

The lamps have a distinct equestrian identity taking design notes from lunge reins, riding crop and show-jumping poles to create the slender stem and slub linnen shade with leather piping and a patinated base with a bronze-style finish. The baskets, buckets and table centerpieces are pierced and stitched by hand, as are the bedspreads, crafted in silk and cotton twill with tone-on-tone topstitching and a cashmere reverse. Other pieces also by Studio Hermès include the tartan-style bed blanket and throw.
