Björk Is Coming to Brooklyn for “Under the K Bridge” DJ Set
The day’s roster also includes Shygirl, Sega Bodega and more.
Björk will be headed to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to play a DJ set under the Kosciuszko Bridge.
The event is called “Under The K Bridge” and appears to be a new music series. In February, Four Tet announced that he was playing and curating his own two-day “Under The K Bridge,” though at the time it seemed like a one-off music festival.
For those unfamiliar with New York topography, the show is essentially set in an industrial zone right under the bridge that connects Brooklyn and Queens.
For the Björk-headlined edition, the Icelandic star has brought together an impressive lineup of artists. Shygirl, for starters, will be delivering a rendition of her iconic, London-hailing Club Shy set. Her frequent collaborator and label Sega Bodega will be DJing as well. The New York-based producer and vocalist Eartheater rounds out the supporting trio of the day’s DJs.
Electronic artist Jlin will perform, though not necessarily DJing, per the event’s flyer. Mun Sing, the solo effort of Giant Swan’s Harry Wright, rounds out the artist roster.
