BEAMS x SLOW Ready Minimalist Bag Collaboration
Drawing inspiration from military aesthetics as well as bags from the Edo era.
BEAMS has tapped Japanese accessories brand, SLOW for a refreshing collaborative capsule.
The collaboration comprises three roomy bag styles: AZUMA, NYLON HELMET BAG and the NYLON RUCK SACK. Drawing aesthetic and conceptual cues from the Edo era, AZUMA reimagines fabric-wrapped bags from the old times using modern materials. The main body of the AZUMA boasts a nylon composition, while its handle and strap are crafted from leather — a nod to SLOW’s signature and aesthetic philosophies.
Meanwhile, the NYLON HELMET BUG and and NYLON RUCK SACK draw inspiration from military goods. As indicated in their names, both styles arrive in a tonal nylon fabrication and ample storage that befits their utilitarian appeal.
Priced at ¥15,400 JPY ($100 USD), AZUMA is now available to shop online as well as via BEAM’s physical stores in Japan. Starting June 7, the other two bag styles will also be officially released through the brand.
