Doechii and JT Fire Shots From the Florida Swamp in "Alter Ego"
The Swamp Princess and City Cinderella get down and dirty in homage of their home state.
The self-proclaimed “Swamp Princess” has enlisted the likes of another major Floridian femme fatale for her latest offering “Alter Ego.” After teasing their link-up in an Interview Magazine interview earlier this month, Doechii and JT’s collab is here at last.
“kissing an era goodbye and welcoming my alter ego,” Doechii wrote in an Instagram caption.
Doechii hits the swamp for “Alter Ego”‘s music video, delivering the track’s punchy bars from the front of an airboat as she speeds past alligators and fires off shots – literally and lyrically.

“We’re officially on our way to the swamp,” she opens up the music video which begins in night-vision-esque editing – an effect that carries on throughout the video. “If you’ve never been to the swamp, you should visit. It’s better than a resort, better than a spa, better than the city – and you can do whatever the f*ck you want. There’s no laws.”
“Nah, nah, nah-nah, nah / These hoes ain’t phasin’ me, phasin’ me,” the catchy chorus kicks off. “Nah, nah, nah-nah, nah boom-boom b*tch / You dead to me, you dead to me (Altеr ego) / Dead to me (Altеr ego) / Dead to me.”
JT offers up her verse from the trailer park, sitting atop a four-wheeler and getting down and dirty in the swamp mud.
