IDK and Joey Bada$$ Exchange Boastful Bars on "DENiM"
Unveiling a live performance of the cut in tandem with the music video.
IDK tapped Joey Bada$$ to drop some bars on his first single of 2024. Dubbed “DENiM,” the two hip-hop hotshots – hailing from Maryland and New York City, respectively – each brought their distinct flare to the high-energy cut.
“Sittin’ on cloud nine, but it’s really my couch / Pierre Jeanneret’s, the original ones / Not the one’s they get for five hundred to dress up their house,” IDK steps into the first verse.
“I can never be the one tryna ball for these b*tches / Devin Booker with the tears / Cotton flower jeans, to show you the spring in the air / Yeah, we see you sittin’ there, but your name ain’t on this chair / Motherf*cker, we don’t care, yeah,” he continues on the chorus before teeing up Bada$$ to deliver the third verse of the three-minute track.
“Sittin’ on your whole year, but it’s really my couch / Pierre Paulin’s, this the original one / Cost fifty bands, all in, just to put in my house,” Bada$$ emulates.
For the music video, the rappers perform the track in the living room, spitting a majority of the verses right from the couch.
In addition to the official visual, the duo also hit the streets of NYC to deliver a live “From the Block” performance of the track. Check it out below.
