Bktherula Shows Her Versatility on New Album 'LVL5 P2'
The record arrives with a new music video for “SHAKIN IT,” featuring Cash Cobain.
Following on from 2023’s LVL5 P1, Bktherula has returned with an all-new, more “mature” and “reserved” album, dubbed LVL5 P2.
The record “blends distorted and chaotic soundscapes with unapologetic flows and celestial melodies” to showcase Bktherula’s expansive range, per a release. The 13-track project spans ethereal tracks like “THE WAY” to more wild cuts like “CODE.” The full-length effort includes just two features: fellow Atlanta native J.I.D. hops on “WOMAN,” and Cash Cobain joins the artist for “SHAKIN IT.”
On top of the album’s debut, Bktherula has dropped a fresh music video for her Cash Cobain collaboration. In the visual, Bk explores Brooklyn’s scenery, taking in waterfront views, performing choreography in front of bodegas and partying with Cash. Notably, Cash produced the track, which merges his “sexy drill sound and Bk’s ethereal dreamscapes.”
Bktherula will perform LVL5 P2 tracks while joining PinkPantheress on the U.S. leg of her upcoming Capable of Love Tour in April. The tour is slated to make stops in cities including Detroit, Boston, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Diego and Los Angeles, among others.
