BEAMS and Malbon Golf Reveal Their Latest Innovation

Malbon Golf and Japanese retailer BEAMS GOLF have teamed up for a collection that features a unique interpretation of the LA-based lifestyle brand’s signature Buckets logo. And once you see those rainbow colors paired next to Garamond font, it’s impossible not to think of Apple. Of course, the brands’ campaign for the collection makes the association even more clear (if it wasn’t already enough). The model, who recently played a golf pro in the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, holds up a hero item from the collection as if it were a shiny new iPod, and the studio is backlit in a hazy blue.

The limited collection encompasses 15 pieces. On the apparel side you have mock necks, traditional polos, crewneck sweaters, shorts and buckets hats, while a range of accessories are also delivered such as headcovers, shoe bags and ball markers. The standout piece is the mock neck which comes in black or white. Mock neck polos are back in these days, as shown by guys like Min Woo Lee. Perhaps they never left (thank you, Tiger). Either way, this one is made of 100% cotton jersey and has the rainbow Buckets logo and Malbon in Garamond font placed front and center. The other item you’ll want to have a look at is the aforementioned shoe bag which looks simple on the outside of its leather shell, but on the inside reveals a rainbow striped velour lining.
