Marc Jacobs To Collaborate With Pharrell, Tremaine Emory and More To Reimagine Pieces From Brand's Archive
Sofia Coppola, Cactus Plant Flea Market and Takashi Murakami are also on the list of collaborators.
Marc Jacobs has a full roster of collaborations on the way in celebration of the brand’s 40th anniversary.
To mark the occasion, Jacobs has invited some of his favorite collaborators from over the years to select their favorite piece from the brand’s archive and then reimagine it in their own vision.
The designer teased some of the collaborators with a slideshow photographed by Nick Newbold and a video on Instagram in which they wish him congratulations on the anniversary. Pharrell Williams is among those he’s working with, alongside director Sofia Coppola.

Denim Tears founder and Supreme’s former creative director Tremaine Emory also makes an appearance in the video, as does graffiti artist Futura and contemporary artist Takashi Murakami. Rounding out the lineup is the i-D magazine editor-in-chief, Alastair McKimm.
Off-screen, Jacobs has a few other collaborators that he’ll be tapping, including makeup artist Pat McGrath, designers Anna Sui and Stephen Sprouse and the brands Vaquera and Cactus Plant Flea Market. Lastly, he’ll be doing a special release for his own label, Heaven.
The reimagined pieces will be available in limited edition drops on the Marc Jacobs website. Those interested can sign up for notifications regarding when the collaborations will be released.
