JJJJound Debuts Understated "February Looks" Collection
Functional-yet-subtle pieces to accompany its forthcoming New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX collaboration.
JJJJound has launched a new “February Looks” collection of understated essentials, crafted with a subtle yet functional ethos to match the brand’s forthcoming New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX collaboration. “The essence of JJJJound lies in its simplicity and the quality materials,” says Mehdi Bouchami, the brand’s design director. “We wanted to create something that encapsulates [JJJJound's] spirit of elegance while staying true to the minimalist and heritage aesthetic [the brand] is celebrated for.”
“February Looks” uses a greyscale color scheme, with each piece offered in tones ranging from midnight black to rich, smoky charcoal and stark steel shades. Jackets, tops, and pants alike use elevated materials: there’s an Italian wool coach’s jacket, a fine cashmere sweater, and densely woven moleskin overshirt, while a nylon tracksuit offers a slightly sportier look, and Canadian-made French terry fabric promises high-quality comfort on the collection’s sweats. An understated winter camp cap with a fleece lining and adjustable ear flaps rounds off the selection. “Each piece is designed to be low-fi and sophisticated, perfect for the contemporary wardrobe,” notes Bouchami.
The collection is also crafted to work seamlessly with the above-mentioned JJJJound x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX collection, which offers desaturated grey/black and green/black colorways, both with reflective detailing, premium suede/mesh uppers and a fully waterproof GORE-TEX lining.
Head to the JJJJound website to purchase the “February Looks” apparel now. Prices range from $125 to $290 USD. As for the JJJJound x New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX collection, it’ll release via the JJJJound website on February 15 and select New Balance stockists on February 22.
