Amid the hiatus of BTS, the boyband’s various members have been taking time to focus on their solo projects, even while enlisted in the South Korean military.

J-Hope is sharing an album and docuseries that he recorded prior to his enlistment. The dual project is called Hope on the Street and is inspired by tracing the roots of his artistic identity.

The docuseries is split into six episodes, each of which sees the singer explore a different city and interact with the street dancers that occupy it. J-Hope pays a visit to Osaka, Paris, and New York, as well as his home country’s Seoul and Gwangju.

The Hope on the Street album, meanwhile, also consists of six songs, suggesting that each track could represent a given city, though all are described as centering on the core theme of “dance.”

In his announcement of Hope on the Street, J-Hope shared a compilation of his dancing on YouTube. Perhaps he’ll join the street dancers in the upcoming series.

The album will debut on March 29 while the first episode of the docuseries premieres on Prime Video on March 27.
