Oslo’s very own Holzweiler made its London Fashion Week debut last season, guiding us into the jungle with a sustainable collection destined for the great outdoors. Maria Holzweiler‘s renowned label has returned for round two, shutting down the city’s Tate Britain art museum and following in the footsteps of LABRUM, who welcomed guests the day prior.

For Fall/Winter 2024, Maria Holzweiler took inspiration from the mystical world of fungi and mycelium, examining its vast family groups through flourishing silhouettes that transcend nature. The eukaryotic organisms penetrated silhouettes and prints drowned in energetic pastel tones. The opening look was folded at the shoulders, seeing a teal puffer jacket blooming with sheer purple undertones and feathered fungal threads.

Elsewhere, mushroom graphics landed on dainty womenswear complemented by fuzzy accessories reminiscent of fungal mold. Holzweiler modernistic silhouettes ruled the collection with oversized aptitudes, previewed across exaggerated sleeves and fringed knitwear with swollen outlines. The menswear division channels a similar concept while standing its ground independently. The looks focused on mushroom harvesters — human or animal. Picking uniforms were primed for adventure in alfresco Earth tones, complemented by slouchy suiting, chunky crewnecks, and splotched leather trousers that protect the wearer from rough conditions during picking season.

Take a closer look at Holzweiler’s FW24 collection in the gallery above, and stay tuned for more London Fashion Week content on Hypebeast.
