Japanese streetwear brand BAPE® has officially unveiled its 2024 Spring/Summer collection. Drawing inspiration from skateboarding, street dance, BMX flatland, soccer and college lifestyle, the newest collection of men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel celebrates the creative zeal of street culture and the diverse communities driving it forward through three unique themes: “WEEKEND CHILLIN,” “GREEK LIFE,” and “STREET VIBES.” Including signature outerwear staples and on-trend sports styles, BAPE® pays homage to its global footprint and the expressive fashion identities explored by youth culture.

The men’s collection looks to spring with playful and kaleidoscopic designs, including iconic patterns LIQUID CAMO, which features glow-in-the-dark accents, and the COMIC PATTERN, inspired by Japanese street art. Statement outerwear pieces showcase comic-like graphics and heat-reactive materials that produce a color gradient effect. BAPE® explores the modern college experience through “GREEK LIFE,” combining hand-drawn graffiti patterns and various school flags with spring-friendly jacquard Terry fabrics. Appealing to BAPE®’s archival aesthetics, additional BAPE© CORE styles present an assortment of layering essentials meant to be mixed and matched based on functionality needs. The CITY CAMO pattern, for instance, is reimagined with holographic accents in honor of its 10th Anniversary, while the 20TH ANNIVERSARY COLOR CAMO jackets arrive in a vibrant YELLOW colorway.

Hip-hop-inspired street style and the revival of Y2K fashion are foundational touchpoints for the women’s collection, which is replete with slinky, pigment-dyed LIQUID CAMO cardigans, camisoles, T-shirts, hoodies and bottoms. Summery pops of color, such as baby pink, light green and blue, brighten up various denim and jacquard items. Denim button-up jackets, oversized T-shirts, crewnecks and select rhinestone-decorated silhouettes from the BAPE® BASIC collection are transitional, statement-making pieces that seamlessly create winter-to-spring ensembles.

For the kiddos — and the next generation of BAPE® loyalists — the brand introduces an imaginative all-over ALL BABY MILO® STA pattern across a range of BAPE® Kids pullovers, T-shirts and standout outerwear designs. The vintage-inspired SCHOOL and SPORT selections include relaxed staples featuring iconic BASEBALL and spirited BABY MILO® tropical motifs that usher in the turn of the season.

And finally, for footwear lovers, all-new BAPE® SK8 STA models complete the SS24 collection, featuring upgraded colorblocked constructions in green/brown and black/gray. The new models are available in person at BAPE® STORE and online.

In other news, BAPE® is gearing up for its highly-anticipated flagship store opening in Chicago, Illinois. Slated to be this year’s most buzzworthy store reveal, the historical moment marks a milestone for the iconic Japanese fashion brand founded in 1993. For BAPE® fans and collectors, stay tuned to see the grand opening of the flagship BAPE® STORE CHICAGO, opening its doors this coming May.
