Dior Dropped 200 Limited Prestige Edition Sauvage Elixir, Baccarat Crystal Fragrance Bottles

Giving the Sauvage Elixir a novel layer of luxury, the fragrance phenomenon joined forces with Baccarat’s esteemed craftspeople to recreate and reinterpret the iconic bottle, creating a first edition that is equally characterized by power and elegance. Baccarat’s legendary, skillful techniques and decades of heritage were imparted onto the bottle design, resulting in a luxurious keepsake meant to be treasured through time.

Every bottle is one-of-a-kind, crafted with the tools of fire, water, and air — connecting back to the key elements that define the notes of the fragrance. A dozen skilled Baccarat artisans came together to create 200 specially numbered pieces, which come housed in a solid dark oak display box, strikingly juxtaposed by the stunning crystal of the bottle itself.
A gestural, curved container shape emerged after precisely hand-blowing each bottle from molten crystal. The special-edition bottle was then passed off to the cold engraving atelier for master engravers to make their mark on it. These experts fine-tuned the bottle, emphasizing its fluid shape, while also branding it with the instantly recognizable Dior emblem. The lid of the container shows off fine, matte “CD” initials that contrast with the luminescent sparkle of the fine crystal.
Other intricate touches include the Sauvage Elixir’s first-ever translucent bottle — letting audiences into the mystery behind the liquid usually obscured with midnight blue glass — palladium accents, and letters hand-brushed by the crystal manufacturer’s “doreuses.” When laid into its sleek wooden display box, the natural, raw elements and ingredients of the scent are all tied together.
