Charli XCX Is Truly Unhinged in Chaotic “Von Dutch” Music Video
Listen to the addictive first track from her club album, ‘Brat.’
A day after officially announcing her forthcoming Brat album, Charli XCX has released the first song from the project, the heavily-teased “Von Dutch.”
The British pop artist had spent the past few weeks sharing snippets of the track on social media and last week, she played “Von Dutch” – along with a few other unreleased Brat cuts – at her Boiler Room set in Brooklyn.
“Von Dutch” has finally arrived in full, two minutes of chaotic club goodness produced by Easyfun, who has worked on Charli tracks dating back to her Number 1 Angel era.
The eclectic, high-intensity song arrived with a music video directed by Torso, seeing the pop star escape the paparazzi at France’s Charles de Gaulle Airport and climb aboard an airplane, hanging out on its wing.
“i was born to make dance music.. i came from the clubs.. xcx6 is the album i’ve always wanted to make,” Charli described Brat, referring to it as a “club record.”
