Following the initial announcement of their collaboration, London-based skate brand Always Do What You Should Do and adidas have officially unveiled the official imagery of their collaborative, retro-inspired Superstar silhouette — the first item to drop in the co-designed capsule.

Championing Always Do What You Should Do’s background and community ties to the world of skateboarding, surfing, and “telling your friends you love them,” the brand is paying homage to the Superstar silhouette with the main elements highlighted on the insole, tongue and outer sole.

The sneaker’s upper is also constructed with sustainable synthetic leather, featuring a standout puffy tongue with Always’ customary @sun logo. A high-vis reflective heel tab with interchangeable lace options is then included to play further on ADWYSD’s brand ethos and a map of New Zealand proudly features on the gumsole.

Touching on Always’ connection to surf culture and its journey from the beaches of New Zealand to the streets of London, the inner sole also features a sandy footprint and the words “London” and “Mount Maunganui,” further emphasizing the brand’s roots and connection to both countries.

Additionally, adidas and Always Do What You Should Do have launched a community space in Hackney, London, celebrating the individuals that make up their diverse communities and bringing together the worlds of skateboarding and surfing.

You can take a closer look at the new ADWYSD x adidas collaboration above and it will be available to shop via the CONFIRMED app from February 23 for £90 GBP.
