Margot Robbie‘s production company LuckyChap, has officially signed a multi-year, first-look feature film deal with Warner Bros. Her partners in the company include Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara. Following the huge success of Barbie, which garnered $1.45 billion USD globally and became the highest grossing film of 2023 and the biggest of the studio’s 100-year history, Warner Bros. is placing their bet on Robbie and her team.

In a previous statement, Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co-chairs and CEO Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy commented on how they would build out their repertoire of films and said that they are on a mission to “invest and commit to working with the greatest partners in front of and behind the camera.” On the deal with LuckyChap De Luca and Abdy said, ““Margot, Tom and Josey have built a unique home for storytellers at LuckyChap, where filmmakers are doing incredible work in a supportive and creatively freeing environment. We are excited to have Margot, Tom and Josey join our extended family, making movies of all sizes and genres for moviegoers the world over.”

LuckyChap’s first major project was I, Tonya, an Oscar-winning dark comedy starring Robbie herself as the Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding. They have also recently worked on cult-favorite Saltburn. In TV, LuckyChap has worked on Netflix’s limited series Maid, as well as Hulu’s Dollface and Mike. They have yet to announce their new projects under the deal with Warner Bros.
