Young Thug Follows Up With 'Slime Season' Streaming Release
After unveiling ‘Slime Season 2’ on streaming, Thug doubled down, dropping the mixtape’s predecessor on DSPs as well.
Young Thug has been all over the headlines for the past 48 hours. While the rapper is under some fire for allegedly cheating on Mariah The Scientist while he was behind bars, Thugger has decided to give us something good to talk about. Out of nowhere, the rapper elected to drop Slime Season 2 on all streaming services – and if that wasn’t enough, he followed it up with the project’s predecessor Slime Season.
Slime Season first dropped on September 16, 2015, with Slime Season 2 surfacing just about a month later on October 31, 2015.
Marking his seventh self-released mixtape Slime Season consists of a slew of archival Thugger cuts (which he dropped to swerve a massive leak of his music), with some of the songs dating back to over a year before the mixtape’s original release.
The beginning of his Slime Season era, the 18-track album cemented Thug’s spot on the mainstream map while proving his ability to define his own lane in the industry. An acclaimed rap release, the project consists of standout offerings “Best Friend,” “Take Kare” with Rich Gang and Lil Wayne, “No Way” and “Mine.” Other features come from Migos and Peewee Longway on “Quarterback,” Young Ralph on “Rarri” and Gucci Mane on “Again.” Find the full tracklist included below.
