Maharishi x OJAS Unveil Olive-Hued Capsule
Maharishi’s signature silhouettes reworked through Devon Turnbull’s distinct design lens.

Closing out a memorable year – complete with new store openings and innovative collaborations – Devon Turnbull‘s OJAS is teaming up with Maharishi for a mélange of military-inspired pieces. Spanning a set of Maharishi’s signature Original Snopants®, an organic cotton hooded sweat and a cotton hemp record tote bag, the capsule is doused in an olive green hue and draws inspiration from Turnbull’s knack for functional, utilitarian design.
“My aesthetic involves minimalism, utilitarian design I guess you could say Brutalism. It’s really functional design first and foremost, and draws on a lot of very different points of inspiration for me throughout the course of my life,” Turnbull conveyed in a video interview, noting that he doesn’t use a mood board type of approach.
“It’s the building blocks that have made up my creative identity,” listing off “Modernism, Brutalism and the Eastern philosophical way of looking at design and ways of using space” as his main sources of inspiration.
As for his ties with Maharishi, those go way back; Turnbull recounts OJAS’ early days when he would hang out in London and connected with the Maharishi team early-on just from being around the store.
