Dries Van Noten Names Julian Klausner as Creative Director
The trusted in-house designer worked alongside Van Noten for the past six years.

Early Monday morning, Dries Van Noten took to Instagram to confirm the appointment of in-house designer Julian Klausner as the label’s new creative director. The news of the long-time team member’s promotion follows founder Dries Van Noten’s departure in June 2024.
In a statement by the brand, Klausner shared, “I am beyond thrilled to oversee the upcoming seasons as we begin the next chapter for this house.” “The incomparable legacy that Dries is leaving behind is monumental, serving as an endless source of precious inspiration. I look forward to embarking on new ambitious challenges while honouring the heritage we all cherish,” he continued.
Klausner has been a close collaborator of Van Noten for the last six years, co-designing womenswear with the founder at the Puig-owned fashion house. Rising from a new generation, Klausner is a 2016 graduate of the Belgian arts and fashion academy La Cambre and held internships at major labels including Thom Browne, Kenzo and Maison Margiela ahead of joining Dries Van Noten as a junior designer in 2016. According to WWD Krausner will present his first womenswear collection as creative lead on March 5 at Paris Fashion Week and will subsequently reveal a FW25 menswear collection lookbook.
The brand’s appointment of a young in-house designer as creative director serves as a refreshing move as other luxury houses engage in what has been dubbed a game of “musical chairs,” trading creative directors back and forth.
Stay tuned for updates on Klausner’s forthcoming collections for Dries Van Noten.
