Ana de Armas and John Wick Cross Paths in Action-Packed ’Ballerina’ Featurette

At CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, fans got an exciting behind-the-scenes look at Ballerina, the highly anticipated John Wick spinoff. The film stars Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a Ruska Roma-trained ballerina seeking vengeance for her family’s murder. In the featurette shown at CCXP, it highlights De Armas’ intense preparation for the role, including her rigorous fight choreography and stunt training, showcasing her transformation into a deadly assassin.
Set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, Ballerina expands the franchise’s assassin lore. Familiar faces like Ian McShane and Anjelica Huston return, joined by newcomers Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Keanu Reeves also makes a highly anticipated appearance, reuniting with De Armas for the first time since their 2015 film Knock Knock.
The John Wick universe continues to grow, with a prequel anime exploring the origins of its iconic protagonist. Keanu Reeves is actively involved in the anime, bringing even more depth to the franchise. Despite the seemingly final conclusion of John Wick: Chapter 4, creators remain open to exploring new stories within this ever-expanding world.
