Dickies and Schott Reimagine Classic Workwear With Horsehide Leather
Modeled by actor Yoshimura Kaito, the collection comprises four matching jacket and double-knee trouser sets in varying colors and finishes.
NY-based label Schott and Dickies have teamed up to blend their respective expertise in materials for a workwear capsule to celebrate the new year.
With Dickies’ classic cotton twill workwear as the foundation of the collaboration, Schott co-designed elevated versions of the brand’s work jacket and double-knee trousers. Work jackets in turquoise, navy and black feature corduroy details on the collar and traditional jacquard wool linings for an especially cozy update. On the front of each jacket, mirrored Schott and Dickies tags appear along the waistline, while aged brass details appear throughout the jackets and bottoms. The collection’s centerpiece is an additional black workwear set, which utilizes brown horsehide leather for the jacket collar and the double-knee detail on the bottoms.
As early as 1913, the Schott brothers, who immigrated from Russia, began producing leather outerwear in NYC. Outerwear has since become the company’s signature category, due to the label’s high level of craftsmanship and traditional ethos. Coming together with fellow American heritage label Dickies, which opened its doors in 1922, the collaboration represents their shared dedication to quality menswear that has already surpassed a century of history for both.
The Schott x Dickies collection will be available at official Schott stores and the brand’s online shop on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
